Kreisklinik Groß-Gerau turns 60 years old: Anniversary celebration in September with live music and open day

Groß-Gerau, 13 August 2025. Kreisklinik Groß-Gerau is celebrating its 60th anniversary on 5 and 6 September 2025. The programme includes an evening celebration with live music and an ‘open day’ with various hands-on activities.
Employees from nursing, the medical profession and functional services receive visitors for experiments and other interactive stations as well as exclusive insights behind the clinic scenes. In particular, the Kreisklinik would like to make departments, areas and premises accessible that are not open to patients, visitors and guests in everyday hospital life. In addition, external partners of the Kreisklinik will also be actions and information stands on site, such as the Gross-Gerau volunteer fire brigade, the German Red Cross (DRK) and the DRF Luftrettung.
“A look at the history of the clinic shows how the Groß-Gerau care site has evolved with the needs of the people and under various external changes. We are happy to celebrate the house and the work of the people and teams who have worked there over the years – together with our patients, colleagues and people from the region", says District Hospital Managing Director Prof. Erika Raab.
District Administrator Thomas Will says: "We are proud and grateful for our district hospital here in Groß-Gerau, which has been providing medical care to citizens for 60 years now. The anniversary celebrates the House’s existence and its important role in regional services of general interest.”
On both days there are food and drink stalls including a cocktail bar. For children, the district hospital sets up a bouncy castle and offers make-up for children. Admission is free.
The district clinic provides further information on its website.
